Pit lane pix

I'm about to go out for the 3rd hour. Just cleaning up a minor fuel spill. Patti and Beth are on fill and fire prevention duties.

  2. Bloody heroic - well done. Bob Bradbury tells me you weren't even sure you had an entry until you signed on.

  3. I didn't find out I was officially entered until the morning I landed in Brussels the Tuesday before the race. I had sent my entry and $$ months before. The organizers claimed they didn't receive my numerous emails and phone calls to confirm entry. It took a phone call to the head of Spa from my brother who works for the president of the EU to get their attention. Greg. Who's Bob Bradbury??

Ben. No spare Astralites. I took a set of wire Borranis in case of a blowout. We ended up using 1 set of Avons the whole weekend. They were amazing. 2 hours of qualifying and 4 hr race. Never had so much as a slide.

  4. 4 hours of racing!!! How do you manage to concentrate? Are there breaks in between or more than 1 rider per bike?

  5. Tx. This helps my understanding of endurance racing. We've got an 8 hour coming up at our local race track in December (Killarney, South Africa). I'm keen to go and watch some of the action.

I love to see you have completed the trip without injury or failure, wish you lots of luck in the future!

  7. Thank you for the kind words. We are really happy it went well. One little thing can sideline you so it can easily end in disaster too. Can't wait until next year.
